Purposes and lawful bases
- Contract: creating accounts, taking and managing bookings, issuing tickets, providing fishery tools and support.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing and improving the platform; preventing fraud; keeping audit evidence; and handling disputes, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: accounting, tax, law-enforcement requests and other duties that apply to us.
- Consent: optional marketing, non-essential cookies and any feature where consent is specifically requested. Consent can be withdrawn.
Transactional booking and service messages are separate from marketing.
Fisheries and other recipients
We share booking information with the fishery you book so it can provide the fishing session, manage access, enforce its rules and support you. A fishery is normally an independent controller for its own venue operations. We also use service providers for hosting, email, payments, security, analytics where enabled, mapping and customer support. Providers may process data only for the relevant service and under appropriate safeguards.
Where information is transferred outside the UK, we use an approved adequacy arrangement or contractual safeguards as required.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the stated purpose. Waiting-list data is reviewed and removed when no longer useful; account data is retained while the account is active; booking, payment and audit records may be retained for up to seven years where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention or legal claims. Uploaded content and support data use shorter operational periods where possible. We may anonymise data that no longer needs to identify you.
Your choices and rights
You may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information; object to processing; receive certain information in portable form; and withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email hello@dayticket.fish. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
See our cookie notice for browser storage and controls.
Children
A parent, guardian or responsible adult should make and manage a junior angler’s booking and provide only information necessary for that booking. Dayticket.fish is not directed at children creating independent accounts unless we introduce a clearly described age-appropriate journey.
Security and changes
We use proportionate technical and organisational controls, but no internet service is completely risk free. We will update this notice when the service or law changes and show the new date here. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
